Change in the budget period! (January 27, 2016)
Although informally it was already known, today the Chair has
received the official confirmation:
the COST Office has had to shorten the budget period of this second year to end at April 30, 2016.
This results from the Specific Grant Agreement (SGA) that the COST Office has made with the EU.
This SGA ends at 30/4/2016, and hence any COST Actions contained in it should follow suit.
It was already foreseen for the fourth year that the budget period would be 11 months,
so basically it means a swap between the fourth year and the second year.
For completeness sake, below the time periods for the budget periods:
- Jun. 1, 2014 - May 31, 2015
- Jun. 1, 2015 - Apr. 30, 2016
- May 1, 2016 - Apr. 30, 2017
- May 1, 2017 - Apr. 27, 2018
This affects mainly the STSMs, which should fall within one and the
same budget period. Fortunately, we had not yet a STSM planned for May.
